Travis Place Building

Travis Place Building is a 679,000 square foot, multi purpose building in downtown Houston. Travis Place Building is served by the extensive downtown tunnel system and has numerous Metro bus stops on the property.

There are seven levels of parking and two floors of office space. Tenant entry to the office space can be through the tunnel or street level. All visitors are to enter at street level and wait for tenant to permit their entry.

Travis Place originally opened on June 2, 1956 as Ten Ten Parking Garage offering over 1,500 parking spaces and Houston’s first rooftop heliport. In 1962, three additional levels of parking were added to the garage.

Tenneco, in 1980, added floors 8 and 9 to serve as meeting rooms, employee dining space and fitness center.

El Paso Corporation completely renovated floors 8 and 9 in 2000, eliminating the meeting rooms and dining space to create additional office space.
